In the United States, 1 in 7 children experiences abuse or neglect annually. Child welfare agencies and nonprofits play a critical role in preventing and mitigating the effects of child abuse and neglect through victim-centered services that strengthen families and promote healing, safety and accountability.

Gulf Coast Kids House is a children’s advocacy center located in Pensacola, FL that dedicated to providing trauma-informed services to child victims of abuse and neglect. The center brings together law enforcement officers, medical professionals, child protection workers, legal experts, and counselors under one roof to ensure high quality, coordinated care. Each year, GCKH serves around 4,000 children while also offering prevention education and community outreach to combat the 8,100 cases of child maltreatment reported locally. Their mission is to end child abuse, support healing for families, and create a community where every child can grow up safe and free from harm.
